Free Books for Bloggers

Posted on May 19, 2009

Thomas Nelson booksBook publisher Thomas Nelson gets it when it comes to blogging and social networking.  They have a Book Review Blogger club.  Join and they will send you their books for free.  All you have to do is read the book, write a review, and post it on your blog and a bookseller’s website like Amazon or Barns and Nobles.  Once you’ve done that you can request another free book.

It’s a win-win deal.  Bloggers get free books and the publisher gets free reviews/publicity for their books.  Publishers have always given away books to talk-show hosts and high-profile media people, but it’s cool to see that Thomas Nelson understands significance of smaller audience blogs and online reviews.

And in case you’re wondering, they’re not looking for sugar coated, positive-only reviews.   They just ask you to be honest and explain the reason for your opinion.

Sabrina, if you want your work published in the conventional way, I think you would probably want to get a publishing agent first. If you want to self-publish, info about that is here – http://www.westbowpress.com/getpublished.aspx
