I am looking forward to today’s start of a fun, blog experiment. John Saddington of Church Crunch has organized a “group blog project” for the book Tribes by Seth Godin. Basically, each of us will take a turn leading the conversation about a particular section of the book.
Nearly 30 bloggers signed up to participate. John assigned each a section of the book and a date to lead the conversation on that section.
Any one of us could have decided to blog about Tribes on our own, but by doing it collectively we are broadening the conversation and as a result will benefit from the combined wisdom and experience of all 30 of us plus the thousands of people who read our blogs.
I’ll be blogging this Saturday (4/18) about pages 26-30.
I’m not sure people will be able to engage 6 days a week (especially Saturdays) but it will be fun to be a part of the conversation as well as see how the process of the group blogging project works out.
What do you think?
Seth Godin himself has showed up and commented…! He’s contacted his publicist and he may “engage” more during this Group Blogging Project.
