Live Intentionally

In a few short hours I’ll be boarding a plane with 5 others from my church for Kenya. As much as is technologically possible, I want to take you to Kenya with us through daily blog posts live tweets and more.

Tomorrow I get on a plane with 5 other people to serve at Springs of Hope Kenya. Over the last year dozens of people said they wished they could go, but only 5 are making their dream a reality. There’s a big difference between having a wish and owning a dream.

This past Sunday our Kenya Missions Team and the kids in my church wrote down their stories and had their pictures taken for a Story Book we are creating and taking to the Springs of Hope Kenya orphanage next week. Take a look!

Next month our Kenya team will be doing a community outreach event at the Springs of Hope orphanage with the theme of “story.” We’ll be connecting God’s story to the stories of kids in Kenya and kids in Florida.

About a month ago, I wrote I Need Your Help to Reach My Dream of Leading a Team to Kenya. Since then we’ve had two big steps forward but one step back.

If you’ve got young children, finding time to serve others can be a challenge. But I can’t think of anything more productive or beneficial than serving others with your kids.

This summer I’m leading a team to Nakuru, Kenya to serve at the Springs of Hope Kenya orphanage and in the community. I need your help to make this dream a reality.
