Friday night I had the opportunity to see the Golden Dragon Acrobats. It was just amazing the things they could do… As great as they were, one of the thing that stood out to me was how many times they screwed up. As I thought about the less-than-perfect performance, I realized there were a lot of life lessons that could be drawn from it.

This morning I was touched by Peter Pollock’s post I am NOT OK. Do you think pastors and other Christian leaders should reveal their current struggles with the people they’re leading? Or do you think it’s better for everyone involved if they keep those things private?

It irritates me when we say they things we don’t really mean. That includes things we sing in church that are obviously not true. Does this bother you too? Or am I just a freak?

The financial crisis is going to change our lives, but will it be for better or for worse? My gut reaction is, “Well, that depends on how bad my circumstances get.” But Pat Lencioni has a great article out that explains why that’s not the case.

There IS something more important than winning. Really. There is something better than success. Know what it is? Chris’s post from Haiti last night reminded me of that.

OK, I admit I’m attracted to reality TV like a moth to a flame… there is something about the social experiment… Lat night Trump is faced with the decision to fire a genuine team player or a dysfunctional celebrity who would probably produce better ratings for the show (spoiler alert).
