When I see poverty my instinct is to send money or do something that might help to end world hunger. But I was recently reminded that poverty is often a symptom of a larger spiritual problem. Here is a very real example where the cause and effect are unmistakable.

Most people I know say they like Jesus. But truth is Jesus said a lot of radical things I would rather ignore or try to explain away. Here are some things I wish Jesus hadn’t said, and what I imagine I might say back to Him. Share For 7 long years my daughter, Ainsley, has been a free-loader. My wife, Jennifer, and I give her her own room, 3 meals and day (plus snacks), clean clothes, etc and we’ve never charged her a dime. My gut reaction is, “Well, that depends on how bad my circumstances get.” But Pat Lencioni has a great article out that explains why that’s not the case. How are you feeling these days? Frustrated?
