Ignite - Life on Fire

Paul

Ignite - Life on FireI believe with all my heart that every one of us was created to live a fulfilling, adventurous life.  Unfortunately, too often we play it safe.  We settle for an unfulfilling job because it pays the bills, superficial relationships because we’re unwilling to take emotional risks, and mind-numbing recreation like TV.

This also tends to be true in most people’s spiritual lives.  It’s very easy to skim or get off track spiritually and end up with almost meaningless spiritual lives that have little or no impact on our daily lives.  Some of us say we believe in God, but often we don’t trust Him enough to follow Him.  Some of us settle for religious rules and rituals instead of the spiritual adventure God intended for us.  Some of us are so turned off by hypocracy and organized religion that we turn our backs on a God who supercedes those human failings.

That’s why I’m excited about a new series we’re doing at my church called Ignite.  It’s not about rules or religion.  It’s not about a bunch of people sitting around with phoney happy faces signing Kumbaya.  It’s not about getting a weekly spiritual pick-me-up to get you though another unfulfilling, frustrating, disappointing week.  It’s about living the white-hot, passionate, adventurous life you’ve always dreamed of.

Thoughts...

Yeah, I know this blog theme is boring. I haven't found one I like yet. If you find a cool Wordpress theme with a person climbing a mountain, running up a hill, or something else fitting let me know.
