- Take a break – Take time to rest and recover.
- Step back – Gain some perspective.
- Do your research – Take stock in your current situation. Have things changed since you started?
- Consult an expert
- Re-evaluate your strategy
- Change course – If adjustments are necessary, make them.
- Push through the dip – As Seth Godin writes in his latest book The Dip, sometimes you just have to push on even though it’s hard.
- Quit – No one wants to be a quitter, but sometimes quitting is the best option if the situation is futile or not worth the additional cost.
